We are so excited to be participating in the Global Read Aloud for the third time this year! Our first-third grade students are reading books by the fabulous author Mem Fox at the same time that other kids around the world are reading those same books! Fifth graders are reading the book The Wild Robot and corresponding with pen pals. As we read, we will be sharing our thoughts and responses to the books online. Keep checking back to see what we've learned!
Happy reading!

Mr. Earles's Class Questions About The Wild Robot Week 2
Earles's Class Getting to Know You Padlet
Earles's Class Questions About The Wild Robot

This week - 10/19-10/23 - first and second graders have read the book Chopsticks and third and fourth graders have read the book Duck!Rabbit! Take a look at what we've done with the books.

First graders practiced using chopsticks. It proved to be much harder than they expected! Then they went on the computer and used the program Padlet to share a written response to the book. In the book, the chopsticks find that there are things they like doing alone and things they like doing together. First graders typed in their ideas for what they like doing alone and what they like doing together.
